PhD studies at CEE

PhD studies at CEE are aimed at university lecturers, academic leaders and researchers in the field of higher education pedagogy. The focus is on research into teaching, learning and pedagogical development in higher education, particularly change processes and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).

PhD studies at CEE are aimed at:

  • Academic developers
  • University teachers
  • Academic leaders
  • Researchers in teaching and learning for higher education.

Research and PhD studies at CEE are entirely related to subject didactics, being limited to the following areas of engineering education - "academic scientifical aspects focusing on research related to teaching and education, as well as conditions for hiqh quality learning" and specifically focusing on "understanding and leading changing processes within activities for teaching and learning for higher education".

The PhD studies is based on the concept that changes within teaching and learning for higher education is a social process and that for conducting effective development work, the scientific approach to teaching and learning, called Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) should be the guiding star.
